As we had Teddy’s 5th Birthday Circle yesterday in his Kindergarten class, and are still full of it’s magic, I wanted to share again the article I wrote from his Birthday Circle from last year. I can’t tell you how he loved hearing his story from his beautiful teacher yesterday, how special and important he felt wearing his handmade cape and how happy he was that A Good Man, Kate and I were there to share in this magic too.
The Birthday Story in a Waldorf Kindergarten.
Thank you to all the teachers who make birthdays so special.
Blessings and magic,
Donni

Yesterday was my son Jack’s 5th birthday. Teacher Keri did an amazing job of making a magical celebration. I’ve read about the kindergarten or preschool celebration and was delighted to finally experience it with one of my children. My eyes were a bit moist too. Happy birthday Teddy and to you Mama.
I love birthdays the Waldorf way! The are as you say magic and beautiful.
My daughter turned 5 last week and, as we are in a homeschooling co-op and have no Waldorf school where we live, I told her birthday story in our circle (with some help from your original post.) So, thank you and Happy Birthday Teddy!
love the Birthday Circle, my children are 14 and 12 and still like to do our version at home! I am sorry this is my first time linking and somehow my first link posted a link to one of our Easter posts.. which is lovely but it was meant to be a link to our May Day post so I have relinked.. this 2 in a row.. maybe you can remove the first? apologies!
