Fifty Two weeks in nature… a series of photos each week to show what our nature here in Southern California looks like. For those who are participating, thank you… it’s been amazing to see how different the seasons are from place to place… and how beautiful.
Week 7/52
We ate chips (fries) overlooking the sea. The seagulls wanted dinner too. Watching them swoop, hover and glide through the air was a wonderful show.
I hope you’ll participate in 52 Weeks in Nature and leave a link to your site in the comments below so that we can all see the beauty you have found.

Happy Valentine’s Day
Blessings and magic,

What cool shots!
Thanks, Arianne… it was amazing to watch how they used their tail and wing feathers.
amazing photos!!
Thanks, Sheila.
We enjoyed an unusual sunny and mild day in February and my daughter just had sing (to the entire park…. her song of choice? Much to my embarrassment was “Dancing Queen” by ABBA, which she recently heard). http://www.bluebellsandcockleshells.com/2014/02/52-weeks-in-nature-week-7-sunny-days-in.html
Wonderful, Maureen… your daughter has great taste in clothes AND music… Dancing Queen is one of my all time favorites :-)
Amazing what sunshine can do.
Fantastic pictures! I love them. Here is my week 7 http://sibylnutmeg.co.uk/week-7-52-weeks-nature/
I love your sunny photos, Sibyl.
Ah seagulls! They brought warm, bright sunshiny feelings back, and the smell of salty air! I am glad you like snow Donnie because we got more of it!

Happy wintering! Nicole
I know… after watching the skill they have in using their feathers, wings and feet to fly, I have a new appreciation of seagulls.
Amazing photos!
I’m a little late posting, but here are a few pics from the South Yorkshire borders in England: http://ninnynoodlenoo.com/52-weeks-in-nature-week-7
Your photos are lovely… thanks for sharing your Yorkshire seasons with us. And, your banner is breathtaking.
Thank you. The banner on my blog atm is from the Humberhead Peatlands (specifically Hatfield Moors – we live on the borders of it) and was taken on Boxing Day when we went for a walk to try to blow some of the cobwebs away :)
I edited the post to note that it was my eldest daughter who took the photos of the snowdrops.
Lovely photos. We will join in too – http://www.elderberrydays.co.uk
Great, Claire… I look forward to seeing how the world looks in your part of the world.
I remember our seagull encounters in MA, here not so much ;)
But…I did spot some non-white patches this week. http://wypodunk.weebly.com/1/post/2014/02/52-weeks-in-nature-week-7.html
Hi Mel, it must be so exciting to see the grass winning the great winter battle :-)
