My children are so happy… their summer vacations have begun at last!
What did they do on their first day of vacation?
The read, played outside and… CRAFTED, of course.
They made gorgeous stone necklaces. A bunch of them, in all sorts of beautiful shapes and colors.
We now have a large stash of pretty birthday gifts just waiting for lucky birthday girls to have their birthdays. Kitty is delighted to have made one for each of her friends.
Tutorial : DIY Wire Wrapped Stone Necklace
Here are the materials we used :
- a chain necklace
- thin silver wire
- pretty stones
- pliers
Kitty chose this chandelier crystal for herself.
She used the pliers to cut a length of silver wire.
She twisted the wire to make a hanging loop.
She entwined the ends of the silver wire all around the stone until the stone was safely secured by wire.
Attach the chain and Viola! Such a pretty handmade birthday gift.
Her chandelier pendant is beautiful too.
We have made sea glass pendants like this in the past too and they are just as lovely.
Happy summer crafting.
Blessings and magic,
Donni

Love this Donni. We just collected a bunch of sea glass at the beach and have some cool stones left from our geology block. Thanks for the inspiration!
I’d love to see a photo of your necklaces when you are done, Sheila :-)

Hi, Donni!
I love your tutorial. I think I would try this one but a stone similar with my birthstone. I can even sell this one too!
