Waldorf schools around the country have enjoyed this week off as our teachers plan curriculums and attend meetings.
In the past, we have used this week to go skiing in the mountains. But, as there has been no snow, anywhere, skiing is sadly out.
Instead, we have used this precious time together to go on long and glorious nature walks.
Spring has definitely sprung here in Southern California… the blossoms have erupted and busy bees are collecting sacks of pollen for their honey. We loved watching them diving into the flowers until their legs were so heavy they could hardly fly.
We discovered so many other treasures too… like mushrooms and lichen and dewdrops sparkling in the sun.
Teddy found a salamander and I found a curious object that we think is a cactus skeleton.
Mother Nature is bountiful in her gifts.
We remain grateful for these little everyday gifts that are all around us.
Blessings and magic,
