The time has come for Her Majesty to go to the Hummingbird Shelter so that she can socialize with other hummingbirds and learn how to fly.
We are so sad to part with her. Having her in our lives has been such a precious gift.
The children have been touched by her in a wonderfully deep way. They have been gentle, protective and responsible and I know that her presence in their lives has added another piece to the puzzle that is their future selves.
This time with her will be a magical memory they will carry with them into adulthood and a story they will tell their own children one day.
We let her sit on her perch in the honeysuckle one last time. She loves it there… and she even dozed off for a while.
What a lucky family we are to have experienced this special kind of magic.
Bye bye, Your Majesty… may you learn how to dart like lightening and find lots of friends to play with.
Thank you for spending this precious time with us.
Blessings and magic,
