Portland, Oregon :: Vacation Time :: Part Two

Look at this hazelnut orchard outside of Portland, Oregon. Can you believe it? Isn’t it the most magical thing you’ve seen in a long time?!

The hazelnut trees are covered in moss.

Kitty and I sat on the leaves and stared in wonder.

The next day we came across this misty lake with old-mans-beard moss covering the trees. Again, we sat in awe and gazed in wonder at the pure beauty of nature.

Then there were fields with grass impossibly green.

And boathouses on along the river.

And nesting trees for bald eagle’s.

We lost ourselves in Portland’s Forest Park… 8 miles of nature a stone’s throw from Downtown Portland!

Teddy declared he had found THE BEST trees for climbing in all the world. Can you spot him?

Imagine having this expanse of nature right on your doorstep?!

Thank you, Portland, for all the gifts you gave us. We love you.

Blessings and magic,
