These little sweeties are what I’ve been working on. They are hair clips… little wet felted eggs in needle felted nests.
Here is my model… showing off her gorgeous, curly locks.
Fuschia is her favourite. She has asked me to remember it for her birthday… in December (poor thing has Christmas and then her birthday two days later.)
I love the yellow one… so bright and summery.

I hear you on the birthday following Christmas thing…Katie’s is on the 29th. Most everyone we know (including grandparents) forget it because it’s so close afterwards.

Those are beautiful! I sympathise with your dear daughter, my birthday is only a week after Christmas and I have always suffered because of it. Even as an adult I feel sulky about it, although I am luckier than my grandmother, whose birthday is on Boxing Day. I always swore if I had a child whose birthday was near Christmas, I would celebrate it on a different day – perhaps her conception day, or Name Day, or something.
Those are so cute! Reminds me of the story “The Girl Who Never Let Her Mother Brush Her Hair.”
