Kitty and I have been busy at work making these cute felt pine cone Christmas ornaments. Best of all, they are no-sew and no-glue and take about 5 minutes a pop.
All you need is :
- felt
- scissors
- foam egg form
- pins
Easy!
Tutorial :
Use the scissors to cut a 4 inch flower from the wool felt and 40 1 inch raindrop shapes from the felt.
Start at the bottom of the foam egg. Cover the foam with a raindrop petal and insert a pin through the felt and into the egg so that the felt stays in place. Work from the bottom of the egg to the top of the egg, covering the foam all around with the felt petals.
You’ll soon see that your egg starts to look like a pine cone.
When you get to the top of the pine cone, affix the large felt flower over the top of the pine cone with a pin.
Pin on a hanging ribbon.
Done!
You’ll be making many… they are adorable hanging on your Christmas tree or simply hanging from your fireplace or a door handle.
For those of you who want to make these felt pine cone ornaments but don’t have the materials on hand, I have put together a kit, available in The Magic Onions Shop, that will come with EVERYTHING you need to complete this project.
