Forty One Candles. - The Magic Onions

Forty One Candles.

What a lucky mom I am. I got spoiled rotten for my Birthday yesterday.

I opened gifts in bed. We wrap our gifts in our collection of silks and scarves and they looked so pretty waiting for me on my bed. Kitty’s card was my favorite… “I love you with all my heart. No matter what happens, you’ll always be in my heart. Forever.

I had an orange Birthday cake waiting for me for breakfast… and a beautiful peach rose from the garden too.

Later, we walked along the Palos Verde bluffs in all their Pacific magnificence and huge blue skies. The winter day was hot and sunny and one to make us aware of how lucky we are to live in Southern California while the rest of the country is frozen.

On our way home, we passed a ‘Fruit Guy’ with his bright umbrella and even brighter fruit and we feasted on freshness.

For dinner I cooked roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Delicious. Tomorrow, I’ll post the recipe I learned when my mom and dad lived in Yorkshire.

A beautiful day to remember… thank you for your Birthday wishes too… I felt special beyond words.
