Five glorious days camping at Big Sur, CA, amongst the majestic redwoods.
We were utterly amazed to learn that some of the trees we were walking next to were around 2000 years old!
Can you imagine that? Teddy is only SEVEN years old and I am only 41!
Puts scurrying-around-in-our-busy-lives into perspective.
We loved counting the rings on this redwood to see how old he was and imagining him as a tiny sapling.
Fifty Two weeks in nature is a series of photos each week to show what our nature looks like. For those who are participating, thank you… it’s been amazing to see how different the seasons are from place to place… and how beautiful.
I hope you’ll participate in 52 Weeks in Nature and leave a link to your site in the comments below so that we can all see the beauty you have found. Please don’t feel you need to participate each and every week… when you can is more than enough.

Wow! The biggest trees that I have ever seen (via pictures actually) were when my friends went up to Northern Canada. Some of the tree roots were taller than my friends! I have so wild flowers to share this week. http://www.bluebellsandcockleshells.com/2014/05/52-weeks-in-nature-week-22-wildflowers.html
