Corners of our Home

We moved into our beautiful home almost two years ago.

Did you know that my Good Man built it? With his own two hands, every piece of wood, every door, every window.

It was a labor of love.

He worked on it for two years, after work late into the night… and on weekends, every weekend.

Kitty, Teddy and I would take a picnic dinner to him. We’d spread the blanket over the building dust and sit for a quiet moment to contemplate the enormity of the task ahead.

Now, now that we are living in this gorgeous palace, we giggle at each other in amazement that we actually completed it. We did it.

There were many times along the way, so many that we can’t even count, that we could have given up. That we probably should have given up. There were countless people who said it was impossible, we didn’t have enough money, time, permits to finish it. But we did! And now we live in this magnificent sunny house.

We smile in wonder that WE, little him and little me and our two little littlies, live in this beautiful home.

We are so lucky.

It’s amazing what we can accomplish.

We are braver, stronger and smarter than we think.

So, Magic Friends, whatever it is – GO FOR IT!

Blessings and magic,

Donni

    1. Thanks, Lynne. Yes, the light is wonderful. When my son was 5, he named it ‘The Sunny House’ and the name is so apt :-)

Go for it-thanks for the encouragement. I needed this today as I am feeling like I am in a slump. I am in need of direction.
