5 Spring Crafts for Kids using Yarn

My kids love working with yarn and have made the most wonderful yarn creations over the years.

They knit now but there are so many lovely yarn crafts that don’t require knitting skills.

Here are a few tutorials we’ve shared over the years  ::

1. Finger Knitted Flower Tutorial

Finger knitting is a wonderful craft for the little ones. They pick it up super fast and can make lovely things with it. It’s very good for hand eye co-ordination and left brain/right brain functioning.

Kids can make cute chicks simply by making a yarn pom pom and adding eyes and a beak. They will feel so proud of their sweet creation.

5. Yarn Scraps for Bird Nests

This craft has become a spring tradition for us. We help the birds to make the most comfortable and prettiest nests by leaving yarn scraps out for them in the spring time. My kids love to know that they are helping baby birds hatch.
