Simple Pleasures

I love it so much when I can have flowers in The Sunny House that come from my own garden. I find it supremely satisfying. Thank goodness for roses because they seem to be the only flowers I can consistently grow. And they are pretty. And they smell wonderful.


Teddy’s been making delicious lemonade.


Lemoande Recipe with a SECRET healthy ingredient your kids will LOVE ::


Here’s his recipe ::

– 8 lemons (1 cup of juice)

– 1 cup of sugar

– 1 Tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar

– 5 cups of water

– ice

Bring a cup of water to the boil. Add sugar and stir until all the sugar is dissolved.

Squeeze the lemons and add the juice to the water.

Add Apple Cider Vinegar, ice and stir.

In Southern California, tulips are out. They are so pretty. They sing; ‘Spring!’

We’ve been lightening candles and enjoying a tea ceremony or two.

And, strawberries are out. The best come from the farmers market. For an extra treat, we dipped them in chocolate.

Remember how important it is to slow down and enjoy some simple pleasures. The truth is that these little things will be the ones you remember with the fondest memories.
