Snow, Glorious Snow - The Magic Onions

Snow, Glorious Snow

Gosh, it’s beautiful when it snows here in New Hampshire. All around, it grows super quiet and peaceful. And then gentle snowflakes fall like confetti, covering everything in a blanket of white magic.

The snow tickles our noses and lands on our eyelashes. And then it sparkles in the sunshine. It squeaks under our feet as we walk.

Sometimes the snowflakes are fine like powder. At other times they are so large that we can actually see the intricate snowflake designs with our naked eyes.

At night, the streetlamps cast an orb of glowing snowflakes in the darkness. The tree branches become laden with an outline of snow.

When we were contemplating moving here, many people warned us of the snow. ‘Have you ever lived in snow?’ they’d ask. ‘No,’ we’d answer nervously. ‘Good luck!’ they’d say. It nearly put us off.

Now, half a winter in, snow is our favorite thing of all.

Do you love snow?

Blessings and magic,

I love Winter in New Hampshire. I moved here from Italy 6 1/2 years ago and I didn’t fully understand what i was doing. My least favorite time is when it is humid in the Summer and Spring is too short…. but Fall and Winter….aaah!
