My fairy garden book has inspired me to make all kinds of delightful little toadstools in so many colors, shapes and sizes. The reason I make them is to put them in our next fairy garden… but, alas… I keep giving them away to friends! I can’t help it… the squeals of delight they illicit are too fun!

I’ve also made some sweet little felted and clay animals sculptures. You can see the full range of them in the Fairy Garden Shop. There are 7 now.

And of course, some owls, pumpkins (white is now my fav pumpkin color), fairy garden kits and toadstool necklaces… there have been a few birthdays that needed gifts.

Are you also more creative in winter? I am, for sure… it’s so cozy and warm inside that I constantly feel like expressing my pleasure. Plus, there’s not much to do outside, except marvel at the magic of the falling snow, and so I find I have so much for time to let creativity flow.

I’d love to see what you’ve been making too. Post a pic of your creations on Instagram and tag them with #theMagicOnions so that I can find them.

Blessings and magic,

Donni

  1. What do you use for your mushroom stems? Are they bendable or stiff? I just adore them!! And I like how they are a different shape (upturned) than what I’m used to seeing. Very original!

    1. Hi Jaylyn, Thanks for the kind words.
They are just wool. I wrap the wool really tightly before needle felting it a little.
