Discovering Waldorf :: Learning through Play

It’s no secret that kids LOVE to play in the mud. Add a muffin tin, an old zinc bowl and a mixing spoon and you have an hour of fun. But, don’t think that play is just play… no, it’s so much more. It’s measuring out enough water to make the best mud consistency. It’s fine motor skills as mud is poured carefully into cupcake tins. It’s remembering that one acorn goes into this mixture and two pine cones go into that one. And, it’s fresh air, sun, freedom.
