52 Weeks in Nature : Week 19 & 20 - The Magic Onions

52 Weeks in Nature : Week 19 & 20

We have been having a HEAT WAVE here in Southern California with temps over 100 degrees F, even here, at the coast!

It’s been too hot to do anything!

We’ve been spending our time at our friend’s pool.

And at the Farmers Market.

I can’t bear turning the oven on and heating the house up even more (alas, no air conditioner here)… so, we’ve been eating fresh fruit and veggies.

In fact, when my Good Man texted me yesterday afternoon to ask what we were having for dinner, I replied ‘ice’!

I’m funny!

Jokes aside, here are some of the fresh produce we’ve been enjoying…

Fifty Two weeks in nature is a series of photos each week to show what our nature looks like. For those who are participating, thank you… it’s been amazing to see how different the seasons are from place to place… and how beautiful.

I hope you’ll participate in 52 Weeks in Nature and leave a link to your site in the comments below so that we can all see the beauty you have found. Please don’t feel you need to participate each and every week… when you can is more than enough.

  1. Those are some yummy looking fruits and vegetables! Our farmer’s market doesn’t open for a couple more weeks. Hope you’re not near all the wildfires! Many of my friends in San Diego have had to be evacuated. The fires are right by where we used to live. Fortunately, there are no fires near my parents house. We have been having heat waves too, but much more mild ones than you guys have had, which is part of why I left So. Cal.
